Granted we’ve only been using it a week, but I’m absolutely over the moon about our new germination heating mat. Everything that was planted last weekend sprouted in just two or three days. Even better, it kept the seedling flats at about 65 degrees through two nights of freezing temps.
Broccoli, lettuce, more kohlrabi, peppers, and eggplant were sowed this week, so the greenhouse is quickly filling up with flats and tiny seedlings.
We checked another major item off the to-do list this weekend by building and installing six more raised beds in the field. At the same time, we started making improvements to the layout of the new field rows. Due to today’s rain (yay!), the remainder of the field will be laid out next weekend
Pea shoots? Are those grown for the greens only? It seems like they should be sown directly into the garden, like beans.

Yes, these are harvested as greens for salads, stir fries, etc. Basically a very robust microgreen!

So they do not even need to be grown in too much space. That makes sense.
